The Community Foundation of South Puget Sound is excited to announce the launch of its inaugural virtual photo contest. The contest invites photographers to capture the essence of the South Sound region, focusing on the natural beauty, community spirit, and vibrant culture that make our area unique.
The photo contest is open to all, regardless of age or experience, and aims to uncover the diverse perspectives that illustrate the region’s splendor. Entrants are encouraged to submit up to five photographs that showcase our community’s connection to the environment, the dynamism of local life, or the inspiring stories that unfold within our region, including nonprofit missions in action.
“We’re thrilled to launch this photo contest to celebrate everything that makes our region special,” said Mindie Reule, President & CEO of the Community Foundation of South Puget Sound. “Through the lenses of our community members, we want to show the strong connections between our people and the places and events they love. This contest is a chance to share the inspiring images that tell the story of our amazing South Puget Sound community.”
The contest will culminate in a virtual showcase, with the winning photographs displayed on the contest’s website page and prizes awarded to the top entries. Submitted images will also be featured in the Community Foundation’s communications, including social media and promotional materials, offering broad exposure for the photographers and a visual celebration of the region’s identity.
The photo contest is yet another way for the Community Foundation of South Puget Sound to foster community engagement and support local people and the many vibrant arts communities of Lewis, Mason, and Thurston counties. As a steadfast advocate for the region, the Foundation continues to encourage local philanthropy and empower individuals to make a positive impact by supporting the many causes that promote overall community well-being.
