Foresight Surveying Inc. is celebrating two-fold: the retirement of former owner Ken Frazier, bookkeeper Kathy Frazier and the acquisition of Foresight Surveying by John Goodman, owner of Goodman Land Surveying based out of Winlock. The Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce announces a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 30 at 4 p.m. The former and current owners will be on hand to celebrate and meet the public from 4 to 6 p.m. at their office located at 1583 N. National Avenue in Chehalis.
For more than 40 years, Foresight Surveying has provided mapping and surveying services to western Washington. Based locally in Chehalis, Frazier helped survey much of Centralia and Chehalis as we know it today, including the Port of Centralia, Chehalis-Centralia Airport and several bridges. “Ken has provided years of service to the community and has been a staple to the infrastructure that we know and take for granted today: the streets, housing and ports, to name a few,” Goodman said.
Prior to purchasing Foresight Surveying, Goodman worked locally with other surveyors, then in construction management, and in 2018 started Goodman Land Surveying. Frazier reached out to Goodman last year to purchase Foresight Surveying, and the merger took place on March 1, 2022.
