The Chehalis-Centralia Railroad is “Going Green” with shamrocks on March 13, and 17. The 2021 season of train rides begins with two dining events being offered. You are invited to enjoy a 2-hour excursion in the vintage 1920s dining car through the Chehalis River Valley to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
The dinner excursion takes place on both Saturday, March 13, and Wednesday, St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, at 5:00 p.m. The event begins with fun and games and if you are LUCKY you will win a prize, so come prepared with some Irish Trivia! You will be ushered to your table by the event hostesses where you will then enjoy a delicious dinner catered by Jeremy’s Farm to Table. When you purchase your tickets, you can select from your choice of roast chicken with Irish fingerling potatoes or a veggie pasta alfredo option. The 2-hour round trip excursion is sure to bring out the Irish in you, so wear your green to keep the Leprechauns away. Cost is $67 for Adults, and $37 for Children 3-13 years old. Due to the 25% capacity limit, only 26 seats are available. Tables of 2 and 4 are available, with two private dining rooms for up to 6. Only one LUCKY family can enjoy private dining in their very own newly restored vintage coach on the Spokane, Portland and Seattle (SP&S) 99 business coach, so get your tickets early. Reservations must be made 5 days prior to the departure date.
A Shamrock Family Friendly Train excursion is set for Saturday afternoon March 13, at 1:00 p.m., There will be games and maybe a Leprechaun or two may appear! Refreshments are served, and of course, they’ll be Green too! Cost is $25 per person for this round trip, 1 ¼ ride to Milburn
The train departs the Chehalis Centralia Train Depot, 1101 SW Sylvenus Street Chehalis WA 98532. This excursion is limited to 28 persons per ride, so make your reservations now.
