Naturopathic doctors (NDs) are experts in natural medicine. They are primary care physicians trained to do physical exams, order lab testing and offer a wide variety of natural treatments. They conduct a comprehensive intake, do relevant physical exams and order diagnostic tests to be able to look at the body as one whole picture. Naturopathic doctors respect that everybody has the innate ability to heal themselves. We facilitate this process by removing obstacles to healing and by providing natural options to optimize the body’s functioning.
Dr. Chika graduated from Bastyr University with a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine and Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She also has an active Registered Dietitian license in Japan, with more than 15 years of work experience and 3000 cases serving a wide range of cultures and populations in both developed and developing countries.
Dr. Chika was born in Japan, raised in Hawaii, and worked in Cambodia before she came to Seattle, and now she lives in Seattle with her partner and two furry children. She loves surfing, horseback riding, hula dancing, listening to music, gardening, and traveling.
